Ms. Aoki-Suzuki joined IGES in 2007. She obtained her bachelor of environmental enfineering (Kyoto univeristy) in 2000, her masters of environmental engineering (the University of Tokyo, Japan) in 2002 and international development studies (National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, Japan) in 2007. She worked as consultant on Environmental policies/business at Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan) from year 2002-2005. She obtained doctral degree Ph.D (engineering) on environmental engineering in 2023 (Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Ritsumeikan University).  Her current research topics include Resource Efficiency and circular Economy Policies as well as decoupling relevant indicator such as resource productivity and eco-efficiency.
