Aylin Shawkat is an expert on industry decarbonization at Agora Industry with a specific focus on the intersection of climate and trade policies as well as circular economy in industry. She furthermore leads the work on climate diplomacy for industry decarbonization. Prior to joining Agora, Aylin worked for the Swedish Trade and Invest Council on bilateral trade relations between Sweden and Germany, and for a medical technology company in the US. She started her professional career in a public affairs consultancy in Frankfurt am Main. Aylin Shawkat studied economics and international relations in Frankfurt, Stockholm and Washington, D.C.
