Mr. Sawada joined Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. in 2007. He has been  engaged in the development of fuel economy simulation method for hybrid vehicles and powertrain control development of hybrid vehicles in  Powertrain Advanced Technology Development Division. On top of his responsibility for planning global circular economy strategies, he is currently in charge of development of next-generation recycling technology for lithium-ion-batteries.
