Johanna Schilling is Managing Director of ECOS, a project development, consulting and research company specialized on Germany and Japan. She finished her M.A. in Japanese Studies at the University of Trier/Germany in 1998 and spent a year studying at the Chiba State University in Japan. After entering ECOS in the year 2000 as a project manager, she has been responsible for various German-Japanese cooperation projects including the initiation and organization of the German-Japanese Environmental and Energy Dialogue Forum (EEDF) since its first edition in 2007 and the German-Japanese Energy Transition Council (GJETC).
