Mr Thomas Götz

Co-Head of the Energy Policy Research Department, Wuppertal Institute

Mr. Thomas Goetz is Co-Head of the Research Unit Energy Policy at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy. He studied at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, with focus on environmental economics, industrial ecology as well as energy- and material flows. 2007 to 2008 he worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, Competence Centre Sustainability and Infrastructure Systems, and joined the Wuppertal Institute in 2009 for the cross-sectional project “Material Efficiency and Resource Conservation“ (MaRess). Since 2011 he is working at Research Group “Energy, Transport and Climate Policy” with focus on national, European and international projects in the fields of energy- and resource efficiency as well as renewable energy related to industry, appliances and the building sector.
