Ms. Ursula Borak

Deputy Director-General, Bilateral cooperation on climate action and the energy transition, International Energy Agency, BMWK

Ms. Ursula Borak serves as Deputy Director-General in the climate protection department in the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) since 2008. Her responsibilities include bilateral cooperation for climate protection, the energy transition and the international energy agency. Since joining BMWi in 1987, she held several posts at the Ministry, including several ones abroad, and previoulsly worked as an academic assistant at the Energy Economics Institute (EWI), Cologne University.
