Rita Schwarzelühr-Sutter

After graduating in business administration at the Universities of Freiburg and Zurich, Rita Schwarzeluehr-Sutter worked as Marketing Assistant and held several positions within the Social Democratic Party. She became Member of the German Parliament (Bundestag) in 2010. She has been appointed as Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety in 2013.

She is also Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Global Research for Safety (GRS); Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (German Federal Environmental Foundation).
